I’m modelling a live steam loco and need some 6″ long offcuts of 1 1/2″ (38mm Copper Pipe)
Are there any helpfull plumbers who could help someone in need?
I’m in Essex in the UK!
The problem I have is that I can only find the regular 15mm and 22mm copper pipe in Builders Merchants. As I only need a very short piece I’m loathed to pay a fair bit of cash for a length of the larger diameter 38mm or 42mm tube.
Sometimes recyclers will sell bits of copper pipe.
Now be careful, don’t let that boiler run without letting off steam – you can blow yourself up or get serious burns if things get too hot.
